Larry's furnace was venting through two corroded chimney stacks that had rusted through at the joints. We pulled both, ran brand-new vent lines, and sealed the system tight. Here's the before, the install, and the after.

Larry called us out because his furnace flue stacks looked rough and he was worried about leaks. He was right. Both galvanized stacks had rusted through at the seams — the kind of corrosion that lets furnace exhaust escape before it ever vents above the roof.
Patching wasn't an option. Once a flue rusts through, the metal around it is already compromised — the only safe fix is to replace the run.
A cracked or rusted-through chimney flue doesn't just leak heat — it can leak carbon monoxide and combustion gases straight into the home, and corroded metal next to a heat source is a fire risk. Both stacks were past saving. Replaced and sealed before we left.
Replaced two damaged furnace stacks and built the system back from scratch. We pulled both corroded stacks, ran brand-new vent lines pitched and sealed at every joint, and brought everything up so it vents cleanly above the roof.
Then we tested the draft, confirmed there were no leaks, and walked Larry through every connection before we packed up — working safely and efficiently from start to finish.
The result: the system is venting safely again, with the leaks stopped for good. Larry was happy enough that he asked for a photo with the crew. Full photo report — before, during, and after — emailed the same day.
